Meet the Maker

My name is Hannah Louise, I am the face behind this small business!

Thank You for taking an interest in my work; I absolutely love sharing my journey and process, and I am so grateful to those who have followed and supported my small business as it continues to grow.

It's great to meet you!

What I do

I make my all of my work by the ancient method of lost wax carving - a process whereby the piece is carved by hand from a special jewellery wax, and then sent to a specialist Caster to turn my design into a precious metal replica. The wax is lost forever, giving the process its name.

With this metal piece, I then buff, polish, and complete any stone setting until it's sparkling and ready for its new home!

I am able to replicate my designs using the method of mould-making, enabling my customers to purchase this design on a Made-To-Order basis. Or, the piece can be truly one of a kind, never to be replicated again.

To ensure my metal is top quality, I do not outsource my manufacture to other countries - many larger companies do this to keep their costs as low as possible, however I personally feel that often the metal quality is compromised. So, although it costs me more, I have all of my work cast in my home town of Birmingham, UK, supporting a local casting company in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. JQ is a world renowned hub known for the incredible jewellery craft and its many independents, and it's amazing to see so many craftspeople keeping traditions alive.
